Well, 2010 has kicked off in explosive style! Plenty to update you on...
Firstly, my monthly radio show, ‘Digital Obsession’, finally launched on February 14th on afterhours.fm. To download and see the playlist go to the Radio section. Next month you will be able to subscribe to my show every month via itunes. It will be available 7 days after the show is aired on afterhours.fm which is the second SUNDAY of the month, 17:00 –18:00 GMT.
Production talk now! My new remix on Nu-Depth recordings for Dave Horne's ‘Pushing Air’ has had great support over the last few months with 3 consecutive plays on Above & Beyond’s Trance Around The World show, including ‘Record of the Week’, and has also been playlisted on Armin’s A State Of Trance show. Check out the music player for a sneaky listen. It's due for release in March so keep your eyes and ears peeled for that!
Also in March, my new remix on Digital Society for Sequentia & Static Blue's ‘Sacrifice’ will be released. It's had some great reactions on the floors early doors so really excited about this one!!
On the solo front, I’ve just finished a new track but can’t say too much about it yet. It's titled ‘Crafted’ and more info will be on its way very soon.
I’m currently in the studio working on a remix on Enhanced Recordings for 7 Skies & Kiholm called ‘Lost & Found’ so an audio clip will be uploaded very soon. Also, David (7 Skies) and I will be starting a collaboration next month so really looking forward to how that turns out!
I’ve finally added a Diary section so you guys can keep updated on when and where I’m playing. My next gig will be back in Sheffield for the awesome ‘Off The Rails’ night at The Plug alongside Agnelli & Nelson, W&W and Paul Webster so really can’t wait for that. Check out the flyer in my Diary section and I'll hopefully see you there!
Catch up next month!
"Dan Stone marked his welcome return to Anjunabeats in style with 'Mumbai' which showed that crafting storming trance productions is very much close to his heart. Picking up the baton is 'Fahrenheit'; with its impactful melodies and airy breakdowns that will leave you walking on clouds, this is a powerful, uplifting piano trancer that has all of the ingredients needed for raising the temperature (and the roof) in the main room.
Remix duties fall to Ilya Soloviev, who stays respectfully true to the original with another euphoric mix made for peak-time play." ANJUNABEATS - DECEMBER 2009
Apologies again for the late update! It's been a very hectic few months. Firstly, I wanna thank everyone for their support this year, it's been far greater than I ever expected. Thanks also to the people that turned out for my gigs, especially at the Gatecrasher 16th Birthday (Digital Society room, Sheffield), Off The Rails (Sheffield) and finishing off at Transfusion (Newcastle). It's been my best year for gigs and I only hope it continues next year!
Production talk now.... 'Fahrenheit' has just been released on Anjunabeats and comes with an awesome remix from one of Russia's finest, Ilya Soloviev. The support has been great with 5 consecutive plays on Above & Beyond's 'Trance Around The World' radio show. I've also had a few remixes out recently on Crashing Waves for Robbie Nelson’s track ‘Aviator’ and ‘Stratosphere’ by Trance Arts on Unearthed records (samples in the audio player).
Coming up in 2010 you can expect remixes on Nu-Depth for Dave Horne’s ‘Pushing Air’ track, Andy Tau’s ‘Hidden Message’ on Alter Ego and I've just completed my remix for Sequentia & Static Blue called 'Sacrifice', forthcoming on Digital Society. So keep your eye on those!
On a single front, I am currently working on a few more new tracks for Anjunabeats including a recent rework of my old track 'Made In Bahrain' which I have tested out on the floors lately and may see a return in 2010. Will keep you posted.
Finally, just wanna wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thanks again for all your support. See you in 2010!!

October 5th sees the release of Anjunabeats Volume 7 Compilation and i'm happy to say that my next single on the label, 'Fahrenheit' has made it onto the album. The single is due out towards the end of the year along with an awesome remix from Ilya Soloviev. Check out the Audio player for an exclusive preview.

Over the last three years Dan has gone on to produced some of the finest trance tracks around such as, 'Made In Bahrain' (Anjunabeats), 'Spinal Chord' (Inspired), 'Road Test' (Redforce) & '7 Hours' (NOYS) to name a few. All have had major support from the big players such as Armin, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond and Judge Jules with regular playlists on various radio shows worldwide including Radio ONE.
The highlight of Dan's career was his recent debut signing to Armada, Armin van Buuren's main label, 'A State of Trance' with his EP 'Touchdown In Singapore' & 'Endless Ambition'. This received massive support from Armin himself on his ASOT radio show and also Above & Beyond's 'Trance Around the World' Show, including a Web vote winner award for 'Touchdown In Singapore'.
Gig wise, Dan has had his busiest year yet, having the privilege to headline up and down the country for various UK nights in Liverpool (Solstice), Newcastle (Neuroscience), Manchester (Versatile), Derby (Reminisce), Blackpool (Equinox), London (Progression) & his residencies in East Anglia (BIG, Radi8 & Dance Island 2008).
2009 is set to be even busier, with more solo singles/remixes scheduled and collaborations lined up with Thomas Datt, Marcos & Rozza.
"Dan Stone is a name you’ve probably heard of before. Besides being a regular DJ on the club circuit for almost a decade, he’s also been gaining the skills to produce some of the finest trance tracks around." ARMADA - DECEMBER 2008
